cinnamon stars

for the shortcrust pastry

  • 100 g margarine or butter
  • 100 g grain sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 250 g flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon of cinnamon powder
  • possibly a small dash of milk or water for a smooth dough

Mix all the ingredients with a hand mixer and put the dough in the refrigerator for half an hour. Then roll out the dough and cut out the stars.

Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees (top and bottom heat) for about 10 - 15 minutes and then let the cookies cool well on a cooling rack.

for the glaze

  • 2 - 3 egg whites
  • 200 g Frunix corn sugar
  • possibly some water for a creamy consistency

Beat the egg whites in a bowl with a hand mixer until fluffy and firm. Then gradually add the corn sugar and, if necessary, add the water by the spoonful.
